Signature Tram Team
July 21, 2025
While exploring around the tram depot, I came across a tram with its entire outer shell stripped away. At first glance it looked as if it was about to be scrapped or dismantled. What caught my eye most was an old‑style sign revealed beneath the bodywork, showing traces of its past life. I couldn’t help wondering — how many years had this tram been running?
Chatting with a few sifus (masters), I found out the tram was actually undergoing refurbishment: parts were being replaced so it could return to service. That set me thinking — how do they decide when a tram should retire? And what exactly is the process of building a brand‑new one?
