車底組 Bogie Team

Today we visited the Bogie Team. To make sure every component came out precise and smooth, the craftsmen there were totally absorbed in polishing the parts. Leung sifu (master) chatted with me while working on one – as it grew shinier and shinier, almost sparkling, he looked genuinely excited. He explained that once a piece is polished, it can go straight back into use. Because the parts are used so often, they need constant upkeeping: six to eight polished every single day, almost non‑stop.
I was filming while they worked, watching different sifus weaving between machines, busy as ever. It made me wonder how many people actually work in this section. So I asked Chong sifu, who’s been here since 1993, whether he still remembered everyone’s names. He started listing them one by one, almost like playing a memory game, and got more and more animated as he went on. From the footage you can see the laughter, the smooth teamwork, and the deep bond they’ve built over the years.

今日我哋去咗車底組參觀。為咗確保出嚟嘅工件夠精準同順暢，嗰度嘅師傅好專注咁打磨緊啲零件。良師傅一邊同我傾偈，一邊磨緊一個零件。見到個零件越磨越光滑，閃令令，佢自己都好興奮，仲解釋話磨完就可以即刻用。因為啲零件日日高頻率咁使用，為咗保持質量，所以每日都要打磨保養，平均每天要磨六至八個零件，幾乎冇得停手。
我一路拍片記錄佢哋點樣工作，一路見到好多師傅喺機器之間行嚟行去，忙個不停，令我好奇呢個部門究竟有幾多人做嘢。我就問咗由1993年就喺度做嘅莊師傅，記唔記得晒所有同事叫咩名。佢就當玩記憶遊戲咁，試吓一個個數出嚟，仲越講越起勁。從片段裡面，可以睇到佢哋之間有講有笑，默契好好，感情好深厚。
